Melmerby Hall Retreat ~ Nov 2021


My goodness are we going to need this Retreat!


If you haven’t joined us for a few years you may have been use to our Retreats just offering Yoga? However I have always cross trained myself (incorporating Pilates and lots of other exercise styles into my routine), a few years ago I dived into a Pilates Teacher Training and so now we have Pilates classes on offer too!

In the mornings we will enjoy a more dynamic, vinyasa style of yoga. My fave! If you haven’t taken one of my classes before they are strong but steady, helping you to understand and connect with the movement of the practice. There will also be lots of verbal and hands on assistance for those who like that.

Later in the afternoon we will do a Pilates class together. If you are new to pilates, the practice is fairly different to yoga – it is more of an alignment based exercise class – however it is hugely complimentary to your yoga practice. Expect to feel lengthened and strengthened! I can confidently say you will take away several simple exercises that work wonders on the strength of your core and lower back, great for injury prevention.

There will also be Yoga Nidra & Guided Meditation on offer. Super restorative and relaxing, this class will set you up for the evening. Hopefully leaving you feeling super calm, grounded and totally zen.

If you are new to yoga or pilates please don’t be put off by attending a Retreat – you are always welcome and you will be guided through the weekend at your own pace. If you have a more experienced practice we are here for you to, we have plenty of time together over the course of the retreat and I strive to ensure you leave with a deeper understanding of your body and feeling more connected to your practice.


You will be able to compliment the effort you physically put into the weekend by booking a treatment. There will be individual treatments and spa packages available to pre book nearer the time.


Our chefs will put together a delicious menu that will be wholesome, nourishing and healthy. Not only that, but we hope the menu inspires you to return to your own kitchen. Our focus is to introduce you to some new dishes; dishes that are hearty and healthy, plant based and flavoursome, home cooked and heavenly. Where possibly all of our ingredients will be locally sourced, fresh and organic.


Free time on the retreat is yours to enjoy as you wish. The surrounding grounds provide the perfect space to clear you mind and wonder. Or if you are more adventurous and fancy lacing up your hiking boots, we can point you in the right direction or guide a walk. If that all sounds far to strenuous and you simply wish to curl up by the fire with a book, a herbal tea or a hot chocolate then we have the perfect setting for you too.

  • Travel to the Venue – however should you wish to arrive via train into Penrith Station I am happy to help with booking a taxi, you may well be one of two or three arriving in at the same time.
