There isn’t much to say, most of you know by now this is certainly one of my favourite UK venues and we are taking you back for our 6th Retreat at the wonderful Melmerby Hall.

THE YOGA (and PILATES)

We will practice yoga twice a day whilst we are at Melmerby. A more dynamic vinyasa style of yoga in the mornings to set us up for the day, and a more restorative yoga class in the evenings to help you unwind and relax. If you are relatively new to yoga please don’t be put off – you are always welcomed and guided throughout the weekend at your own pace. If you have a more experienced yoga practice you are also very welcome, we have plenty of time together over the course of the yoga retreat and I strive to ensure you go away with a deeper understanding and connection to your yoga practice.

I am going to be adding a touch of Pilates to your weekend. This is a practice I have recently taken my teacher training for – I find Pilates not only complimentary to yoga but also extremely beneficial; for our posture, injury prevention, strengthening and lengthening. So I hope you enjoy the addition of this practice to our Retreats.

SPA TREATMENTS

You will be able to compliment your efforts on the mat by booking in for a treatment with the wonderful Katie Doo. Katie is a true gem and has been bringing her magic to our Retreats for two years now, sharing range of spa treatments from the perfect pedicure to a full body lava shell massage – and everything between. Individual treatments and packages shall be available to pre book nearer the time.

FOOD

Our yoga retreat will be catered Libby and Jenny Horsley. This wonderful duo will create a delicious menu that will be wholesome, nourishing and healthy. Not only that, but we hope the menu inspires you to return to your own kitchen. Our focus is to introduce you to some new dishes; dishes that are hearty and healthy, plant based and flavoursome, home cooked and heavenly. Where possibly all of our ingredients will be locally sourced, fresh and organic.

FREE TIME

Free time on the retreat is yours to enjoy as you wish. If you want to walk the grounds of the estate, then there are 25 acres of beautiful woodland to explore. If you are more adventurous and fancy lacing up your hiking boots, we can point you in the right direction and provide lunch to go. Or if that all sounds far to strenuous and you simply wish to curl up by the fire with a book, a herbal tea or a hot chocolate then we have the perfect setting for you too.

PRICING

Pricing varies dependent on room choice and number in your party.

Includes:

  • Three nights accommodation
  • Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Snack and Dinner
  • Daily Yoga and Pilates Classes

Excludes:

  • Spa Treatments
  • Travel to the Venue – however should you wish to arrive via train into Penrith Station I am happy to help with booking a taxi, you may well be one of two or three arriving in at the same time.
